Chapter 115: Light Judgment Hall
Chapter 115: Light Judgment Hall
"Alright, alright, I won’t send gifts next time."
Lynn immediately agreed, although he would miss seeing his beautiful mentor in black stockings, the fact that Xiya and Vivian didn’t mind was a consolation. In terms of results, it was still acceptable.
It’s just a pity that Catherine’s mentor identity and black stockings combination effect couldn’t be enjoyed anymore, because who wouldn’t like a sexy teacher with black stockings?
After calming Catherine down, Lynn watched as Xiya and Vivian obediently accepted the gifts he gave them. On the surface, he remained composed, but deep down, he had already planned when they would wear them for him.
After this, Catherine still wanted to go home and didn’t want to stay over at Lynn’s house. However, Little Yuri held onto her and wouldn’t let go, Xiya persuaded her to stay as well, and even the cat ran to curl up with the dog for warmth, showing reluctance to leave.
With the forceful persuasion by everyone and the cat, Catherine finally agreed to stay one night, but she insisted on sleeping with Little Yuri.
She wouldn’t feel safe sleeping with anyone else, afraid that Lynn might sneak someone else in to sleep with her. Only the cute Little Yuri could offer her some sense of security—at the very least, Lynn wouldn’t do anything bad in front of his daughter, right?
That night, Xiya invited Vivian to spend time with her to deepen their bond, Little Yuri followed Catherine, while Little Yuna climbed over the wall to accompany her grandmother.
Even though it was chaotic, in the end only the dog and cat stayed with him, and Lynn was quite satisfied with that.
At least everyone was able to stay together now; they could live in one house now, maybe one room in the future, then in one bed, and further down the line...
The timeline for the arrival of Little Yuri and Little Yuna’s sisters could be set. It didn’t matter who would come first, Lynn wouldn’t favor the eldest.
After all, he already had two eldest daughters.
That night, Lynn’s mansion was peaceful and quiet, the vegetation calm and unruffled.
However, in places invisible to most, the force Helena had hastily assembled began spreading through the Celestial Destiny Empire. Though the virus in the empire was eradicated, residual ailments persisted, and the source had not been cut off.
Perhaps in Celestial Destiny City, Her Majesty the Empress was already able to command absolute authority, but in other cities, the personnel Helena appointed to manage affairs encountered enormous resistance.
In just two days, out of over nine hundred cities in the entire empire, more than four hundred city lords’ mansions were set ablaze. New officials under Helena experienced their first blaze, only to be torched by others themselves.
...
In the early morning of the following day, after the family had happily enjoyed breakfast together, Lynn prepared to enter the palace with Catherine.
Only this morning did Catherine tell him that her trip to the Light Empire wasn’t just to visit relatives, she was also ordered by Her Majesty the Empress to bring back a group of personnel.
However, the leader, Sifrin, was always wild and didn’t follow the main troop here honestly, instead dragged her all over the mountains and fields, leading them to encounter Lynn tormenting the Demon Race outside Celestial Destiny City.
Now estimating the time, the employees of the Light Empire, who had been quickly teleported all the way, should have arrived. She was merely a messenger; Sifrin was in charge, she didn’t need to worry about the specifics, and she could report back now.
Besides Catherine, Lynn only brought four little ones with him; they were preparing to sneak a meal at the Imperial Palace. Xiya and Vivian weren’t interested in that.
Despite Lynn and Helena’s two consecutive bloodbaths, the imperial city of the Celestial Destiny Empire remained as magnificent and grandiose as ever.
Leading his wife, children, and pets along the way, no guards dared to stop him.
No pass tokens from the Empress were needed; Lynn could already use his face to enter any place in Celestial Destiny City, including the Imperial Palace, and perhaps even the Empress’s bathhouse if estimated.
But Lynn certainly wouldn’t go there; if he were to visit, it would only be the Empress’s personal bathroom.
Helena was still incredibly busy, but upon hearing Lynn had arrived, she found time amidst her hectic schedule to see him.
Helena, arriving in haste, was still donned in her iconic imperial robe, already showcasing much imperial grandeur. Yet at this moment, Natasha was nowhere in sight next to her, presumably absorbed by Helena’s intense workload.
"Catherine, you’re back! So, was your journey smooth?"
Upon meeting Lynn and others, Helena spotted Catherine, and instantly her face lit up with joy, pulling Catherine aside to inquire about official matters.
"Reporting to Your Majesty, Sifrin the Light Empire’s Saintess is currently waiting outside the palace, and personnel from the Light Church Court’s Judgment Hall have already gathered inside the city, ready to be dispatched at any time."
Though the Empress in front of her was technically her sibling, and even younger in sequence and age, Catherine, as a citizen of the Celestial Destiny Empire, held great respect for the reform-driven Empress.
Of course, she only acknowledged this relationship with Helena alone, having nothing to do with any other connection within her friend circle.
"That’s great. Someone, summon Sifrin the Saintess for an audience immediately!"
Having been busy for so long, Helena finally received good news, and a faint smile appeared on her slightly weary yet beautiful face.
Thankfully, with Lynn’s generous support, she and Natasha were elevated to high Saint Tier beings; otherwise, dealing with endless worries and efforts would have been unbearable even for typical Saint Tier powers.
"Go meet Sifrin; we won’t be going. Here, take this and keep it safe. I’ll check it after you’re done with your work."
Upon hearing about meeting Sifrin again, Lynn shook his head while holding the cat, deeply reluctant to see her. Though she looked alright, her personality was rather nasty, her tongue sharp and no holds-barred. Casual conversations with her would easily lead to anger; best to keep a respectful distance.
"Hmm? Alright, after meeting Sifrin the Saintess, I’ll feel much more relaxed. At that time, I’ll let Natasha attend to you first and I’ll come later."
Though not aware of whatever dealings Lynn and Sifrin the Saintess might have had, Helena respecting her empress... imperial consort’s wishes, especially since empire affairs couldn’t solely rely on Lynn.
Considering the Celestial Destiny Empire still boasted nearly a thousand cities without counting villages and towns, even splitting Lynn into a hundred wouldn’t suffice.
Furthermore, he might not excel at punishing corrupt officials. Better leave it to professionals.
The Light Church Court was willing to dispatch personnel from the Light Judgment Hall to eradicate evildoers in the Celestial Destiny Empire. Although considerable favors and costs arose from this alliance, backed by the powerful patronage and wealth-acquired confiscations, Helena had ample confidence now.
